In the live production industry I have never sat down in a classroom to learn how to do what I know. All of the skills I have acquired over my past 10+ years has been from on the job learning by either being instructed by a coworker, a supervisor, or being self taught.
Previously I worked as a student employee of Student Centers and Programming Services, where I primarily worked as one of the departments advanced sound engineers. This had allowed me to mix a variety of work including, but not limited to, A capella, DJs, EDM, Rappers, Comedians, Musicals, Rock Bands, Latin Jazz Bands, Speakers, Vocal performers, and many more from both a Front of House Engineer position, as well as a Monitor Engineer.
